I didn't get anything done for the first half of this last month. As you are aware from my last post, I've was buying a house. Well, the house has been bought, and we've moved in. Of course, we still have piles of stuff that hasn't been put away. We've also got loads of stuff still to do around the house as well. But all that moving kind of puts a dampener on any development plans. Once we got settled into the house enough, I took a little bit of time to work on Jet Fighter Neon. As it sits now the game is very nearly ready for release. I've still got a few housekeeping items to attend to, but I've come a very long way. While I can't say when just yet, the game is very close to being sent for Microsoft certification. So, lets catch you up on what was done since the last post. Over the past month, I've fixed a lot of bugs that were found during QA testing. Some of those were rather breaking bugs, while others were just simple quality of life issues. I've also added some XBox One compatibility features. For instance, the game can now detect when your controller is disconnected and reconnected. When that occurs, the game will pause until you reconnect your controller. Over the last week or so, I've been spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to package the game for the Microsoft Store. Took some doing, but I figured it out, and quite frankly I can't believe that I didn't figure it out a lot sooner. Anyways, all that's done, so now I'm working on removing test code, and reworking our save code generation a bit, then the game will be sent for certification. I do not plan on announcing a release date, instead I plan on releasing the game as soon as it has passed Microsoft certification. I will, however, post here to announce the release as soon as it occurs.
