Jet Fighter Neon is a recreation and expansion upon the original Jet Fighter, built for Android. Neon completely changes the graphics, and adds a lot of new features like the ability to purchase upgrades, or fight a boss battle.
Jet Fighter Neon can be downloaded for free from Google Play or the Amazon AppStore.
If you have any issues with Jet Fighter Neon, or if you notice anything that can be improved, please let me know by using the contact form in the game, or by posting in the Issue Tracker.

After a lot of hard work, and quite a bit of waiting for support, Jet Fighter Neon has arrived on the XBox One! To me, this is a huge accomplishment, and I'm rather excited about it. Of course, I don't expect this one game to turn me into a billionaire overnight, but that would be bloody awesome. No, in truth, I don't really expect this game to be purchased by very many people at . . .

This is going to be a short update this month because there really isn't very much to report. Jet Fighter - Neon is built and ready to go to Microsoft for certification testing. Unfortunately, I'm not currently able to submit the game, as there appears to be a bug in my Microsoft account. When I look on my account details page it says that my account is active and ready to submit. . . .

I didn't get anything done for the first half of this last month. As you are aware from my last post, I've was buying a house. Well, the house has been bought, and we've moved in. Of course, we still have piles of stuff that hasn't been put away. We've also got loads of stuff still to do around the house as well. But all that moving kind of puts a dampener on any development . . .

Hey, so its been quite a month for me here. Not only have I gotten a lot of work completed, but I been working on buying a house as well! First, lets talk about what work has been done. I mean, that's why you've come here, isn't it? I've done a lot of work on Jet Fighter Neon for XBox. Just looking through the list of commits over the past month, takes a bit of finger walking on the . . .

We've been hard at work converting Jet Fighter Neon over to Xbox One. Its been a learning experience to say the least. So we're going to share with you some of the things we learned, as well as what's been done with the game so far. We found out early that just saving to the Xbox using the standard file save methods aren't reliable. Sure, the data can be saved using common file . . .

I've been hard at work on the Xbox One port for Jet Fighter Neon. Most of the last month was spent experimenting to integrate Xbox Live services into the game so that we can make use of the Xbox's connected storage. Unfortunately, all those experiments were utter failures. I talked it over with my development partner, and we've come up with a new plan that I think may actually bring about . . .

Over the past month, we've been slowly working on our concept application for the ID@Xbox program. As of just a few minutes ago, we finally gave in and clicked on the submit button. That's it, our game concept is now off to Microsoft for review. We don't know what happens after this, as we've never done this before. Now that we're just waiting on a response, we can finally get back . . .

We are working towards bringing Jet Fighter Neon (JFN) to Xbox One! That's right, we've secured a spare Xbox One for testing purposes and have chosen Jet Fighter Neon to be the first of our games that we port over to the console. In keeping with our own policies, we can't announce an on going project until we can release a demo for that project. Well, we don't yet have an Xbox One . . .

For a little over a month or more, there has been a project listed on my Trello that was labelled as “Project Air”. I have been working on this project dilligently for the past few weeks, and I am now ready to formally announce the project. “Project Air” was the code name for a new game that I’ve been working on, called “Jet Fighter Neon”. Neon is a recreation of the first game that I . . .

This may only be the second news release for Jet Fighter Neon, but the project is a lot further along than you might expect. For the past week and a half, Neon has been in beta testing. After the first round of beta tests, we got some really awesome feedback, and pulled the game back to make some really big changes. I’m happy to note that most of the large changes have been completed and . . .

Well, I’ve done gone and messed up now. I was moving some projects around this morning, and deleted all the source code for Jet Fighter Neon. I know, the first question any developer is going to ask is, “Don’t you have a backup?”, or “Isn’t it on your repository?” Well, the answer to both of those questions is a resounding, “No.” Can’t say it was my brightest moment, but I . . .

I learned some rather valuable lessons from my self induced sabotage a while back. The first lesson I learned was to always commit your code to the repository. I also learned that you tend to get things done faster the second time around. I wasn’t going to let deleting my source code prevent me from finishing Jet Fighter Neon. Nothing as trivial as losing the entirety of the project and . . .
Jet Fighter Neon Impending Release
Monday, March 27, 2017
Jet Fighter Neon is about to be released. Yes, even after accidentally deleting all the code, changing the direction of the game, and various other self imposed sabatoges, Neon is going to be released. In fact, it is going to be released a mere four whole days after the initial release date. If you haven’t deduced it by now, that means that Jet Fighter Neon will be released on Tuesday, . . .
